Bird and Fortune are two old school English guys who, partly from their British accents, age, skin color and fancy suits, sound very smart and on top of current world issues. I am not sure how much they do know but they are fantastic at seeing the sad irony of world issues and presenting it in a simple and funny way. They don't really understand the subtleties of race (or it might be part of their role as upper class snobs in the many of the roles they play so well) but either way they are right on with their humorous criticism of global politics and the vast amounts of stupidity that can often accompany it.
